Allied Arts Guild is the perfect location for an engagement session in the summertime! When Abby and Lewis reached out, we looked at several sites before deciding that Allied Arts Guild was perfect. We walked around one of the most beautiful Bay Area Wedding Venue surrounded by Spanish architecture and lush gardens, located in the quaint town of Menlo Park on the edge of the San Francisco Bay.

When we plan engagement sessions, the first thing we do is discuss ideal locations. Abby explained that they were looking for a site that was serine and a bit low keyed. With their wedding being in San Diego, finding something similar was important. Allied Arts Guild provided the perfect mix of both worlds!

Outfits were next on our to-do list, and we talked about formal outfits and how to mix and match to compliment each other. We wanted them to stand out a bit, so hints of tan and black were the perfect options. When picking your outfits, it’s always a good idea to choose your outfit first. Pick your patterns outfit to match yours. One thing I always recommend is staying away from a distracting pattern, remember minimal is key!

Our Approach

Our couples come to us because they want photos that look and feel like them. We document each engagement session with a natural approach, something that feels less posed but still giving direction and making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Finding ways that our couples interact with each other creates effortless images that make you excited to frame, and send out as save the dates!
